Ryujinx is open-source software under the MIT license. Source is auditable by anyone. Builds distributed through ryujinx.co are published with matching checksum files for integrity verification.
We recommend comparing file hashes after every download. Store archives in a folder you control, not protected system directories like Program Files on Windows.
Each release archive should publish a SHA-256 hash. After downloading, compute the hash locally and compare:
certutil -hashfile Ryujinx.zip SHA256
On Linux and macOS use sha256sum. A mismatch means the file was altered or corrupted; download again from a trusted source.

Unsigned or rarely seen emulator binaries sometimes trigger heuristic detections such as FileRepMalware or generic trojan warnings. This is common for open-source emulators and does not automatically mean malware is present.
Fake download sites may bundle adware or modified binaries. Stick to official release paths, keep GPU drivers current, and install .NET Desktop Runtime when Windows prompts you on first launch.
